Our Mission
Georgia Cares Support Services Inc. is a Florida-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and an approved vendor for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR). We are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and aspiring young student-athletes to achieve meaningful employment, academic success, and greater independence.
Our goal is to walk alongside every participant — helping them build confidence, independence, and long-term success.
What We Do
Vocational Rehabilitation
Our primary focus is to provide job readiness training, supported and customized employment, on-the-job coaching, career exploration, and ongoing support for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
Athletic & Academic Support
We support aspiring high school student-athletes through tutoring, collaboration with families, coaches and teachers, college campus visits, meetings with coaches, and scholarship exploration.
Community Resources
We offer a broad library of support services and resource links for individuals and families navigating services for people with various intellectual and physical disabilities.
About The Owner
DeVon Georgia
Founder & Executive Director
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology Master’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education
Professional Experience:
• 20+ years as a Job Coach and Exceptional Education Teacher
• Broward County Public Schools — Teacher of Career Placement for Students with Disabilities
• Former Head Football Coach
• Approved Vendor for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)

About: DeVon Georgia is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities achieve independence, confidence, and meaningful employment. With hands-on experience, he specializes in vocational training, transition planning, and individualized support. He works closely with families, employers, schools, and community agencies to build strong support systems. Through Georgia Cares Support Services, he delivers compassionate, high-quality services that promote dignity, independence, and long-term growth.
